Monday, May 2. We woke up to rain, overcast and generally very cold weather. The perpetual “bad news” attached to this trip is that it is COLD inside the villa, day and night. There are heaters all over the place but they put out about 5% of what is needed to warm these large rooms and our cold bodies. My feet are constantly cold except when I am in bed. The heaters should have been turned on 2 days prior to our arrival. The walls are about 12-14″ thick so they will take days to warm up. Today we stayed in the villa and called AA to change my and John’s flights back to warm weather. We spent about 45 minutes on the phone with American, with the very best agent ever, and we both go on the same flight on 6/1 and I got the last Business seat.
